travel wichita to Garden City

I plan to travel to Garden City via Wichita. I cannot find an Amtrak station or Greyhound bus that connects these cities. Is there any way other than renting a car to travel between Wichita and Garden city?

Rental is yuor best bet.

Frontier Airlines offers extremely expensive flights between the two cities. Perhaps it would be more reasonable if the flight was combined with a flight into Wichita.

Frontier airlines doesn%26#39;t list garden city as a location from Wichita. Unless it only flies on certain days.

Border-to-Border is pretty much a small taxi service specializing in long distance travel in Kansas.

Amtrak runs the Southwest Chief from Newton to Garden City. If you are flying into Wichita, I do not know about surface connections from the Wichita Airport, to Newton, which is about 25 miles north.

You would also depart Newton at about 3:30am, and arrive in Garden Cith at 6:45am, not the most convenient times in the world!

You can fly Frontier, Great Lakes Aviation, and United into Garden City from Wichita...the insanity is that you have to fly to Denver first! The costs are also incredible. Now if were flying into Denver...then Garden City...then Wichita...at least the times would be better.

I think you%26#39;re only logical option would be a rental car from Wichita. Sorry.

I don%26#39;t have to go to wichita . It was a cheaper flight. Those little planes cost so much I was trying to bypass Denver. I guess there is no other way. Thanks anyway.

The drive to Garden from Wichita is about four hours.I have no idea how often there are flights from Denver to Garden but it may be almost as fast to drive from Wichita, and a few hundred dollars cheaper.

Check on car rental, my daughter has been renting Toyota Corollas for $20 a day including tax.

What car rental place has your daughter been using. That might be a better option.

She has been going through Priceline and making what she thinks are ridiculously low bids on a compact. Several times when she is renting on a Thurs.or Friday although she has a compact reserved they are all taken so she gets upgraded to a larger car.

You did not say what time of the year you will be traveling but during college spring break there is a junior college basketball tournament and most cars will be taken. It is sometime in the middle of March.
