where can i get a decadent chili dog in kansas city?

For a decadent one, I would go to Quick%26#39;s Bar-B-Q at 1007 Merriam Lane, Kansas City, Kansas.

1/2 pound hot dog, spiral cutm then deep fried, served on top of a huge bun and covered with chili, onion and cheese. Though I have them hold the cheese.

They also have great fresh French fries.

how could i possibly go to quicks and not eat bbq? i think it%26#39;s the best i have ever tasted, especially the bone alone. but next time i will try to hold back and sample the chili dog. i am sure it%26#39;s excellent. we loved the place! thanks for the info

A couple others that you might try are Town Topic and Fritz%26#39;s Chili.

There are a couple of Town Topics in downtown KC, MO, but there is also a closer one on Johnson Drive in Mission. The building is an old Valentnie Diner. http://kshs.org/diners/history.htm tells the history of them.

Fritz%26#39;s Chili is a whole %26#39;nother animal. Most people wouldn%26#39;t call it chili. The place sure is cool and is worth a visit at least once. http://www.kansastravel.org/fritzschili.htm

Also I%26#39;ve never had their chili dogs, but 7th Street BBQ in Kansas City, KS has good chili, so the dog may be good. It is opperated by another son of Earnest Quick.

Try Charlie Hooper%26#39;s. It is in the Brookside area, south of the Plaza. I don%26#39;t know about decadent, but they are pretty good and it is a nice place to drink a few beers.
