Has anyone been to this place yet? Will be spending this weekend in the area with Grandkids...and wondered if we should try this or go to the zoo. I%26#39;ve been to the zoo several times and it is really a wonderful one to visit....but since this is new, I wanted to get some opinions if I should try the Wildlife Park or stick with the zoo.
If we have time for both we might consider it...but probalby one will be enough animals for one week-end...you know young kids....they always loving swimming at the hotel pool...
thx...kc
Tanganyika Wildlife Park
I was just there. When I visited earlier in the summer, there was not much open, but many more exhibits were open this time.
The best thing about Tanganyika is that you will have contact with animals, that you will not have at Sedwick County Zoo.
kansastravel.org/tanganyikawildlifepark.htm has photos from this month.
You might also consider visiting the nearby Eagle Valley Raptor Center. It was created by someone that used to work at Tanganyika. They have been doing a lot of rescue of birds lately and it would be a different experience and more educational than a zoo. www.kansastravel.org/eaglevalleyraptors.htm
