Mid Priced Hotel near restaurants?

Hi all. I need to be in Wichita for one night. I saw last time some hotels near chain restaurants that I could walk to. I cannot remember which hotels. I am looking for your basic business hotel, Fairfield, Hampton Inn or similar. I looked at the Courtyard Old Town but out of the budget. I get in around 7 and really just want to walk to a meal have a glass of wine....thanks!

There is a Holiday Inn Express and a Wichita Inn about a mile from the airport that have a Ryans, a Texas Roadhouse and a very good Chinese restaurant(LEES) all within walking distance. The Wichita Inn is locally owned and less expensive than the Holiday Inn. They have microwaves and frigs in the rooms. Ph.# is 1-800-272-6609. The Holiday Inn is right next door. There is also a bar that serves sandwiches next to both of the hotels.

Thanks Patrick, I was thinking about the area on the other side of town. It seemed to me the hotels were newer?

The Holiday Inn is about a year old. The Wichita Inn is about five years but is very well maintained. To be honest with you I am not that familiar with the hotels on the East side of Wichita.

What about the Homewood Suites at the Waterfront? I%26#39;m not sure if it%26#39;s out of your budget, but it%26#39;s avg price is a little cheaper than Courtyard. The hotel is nice and it%26#39;s in a nice location with lots of restaurants, for example The Fox and Hound or PF Changs.

Also nearby at the Waterfront is an Abuelo%26#39;s, Red Rooster, Chesters Chop House, and more.

Back from Wichita I did stay at the Hilton Waterfront. It was great. 119.00 a night special rate. Ate at the Bonefish Grill (?) not sure I got the name right. Had burnt crabcakes for dinner, but a decent glass of wine. Will try the other restaurant sugestions next time. Thanks all
