Mountain Oysters

Although there are occasional special meals or festivals, I know of only two restuarants in Kansas that serve mountain oysters - the Prairie Nut Hut in Altoona and Seabrook Tavern in Topeka.

Are there any others?

Jumpin%26#39; Catfish in Olathe once had them, but does no longer.

Mountain Oysters

i can see why!

Mountain Oysters

Bricks in Oldsburg Kansas has darn good ones!

Cool.

Thanks so much. I was starting to give up.

Do you happen to know if they have them everyday, or just as a special?

I give up. Where is Oldsburg?

Olsburg, Kansas is northeast of Manhattan (Tuttle Creek Reservoir) and east of Randolph.

Things don%26#39;t look good for it still being open. I found a listing for the sale of all the fixtures on October 10, 2007. And no one answered the phone when I just called.

Bricks is still open (though they are almost invisible online). Wednesday - Sunday only, they don%26#39;t open until 5PM, and the kitchen opens a 5:30.

Their mountain oysters turned out to be identical to Seabrook Tavern in Topeka, They must have the same supplier.

They also serve buffalo steaks.

Thanks for the lead!
