dining near the Doubletree in Overland Park

Looking for good choices beyond BBQ and steak places... especially a good breakfast spot outside of the hotel. Any suggestions within a few miles?

Ruchi Indian Restaurant (11168 Antioch Rd) has great Indian food, though the service isn%26#39;t as good.

Olympic Village Restaurant and Bar (10200 Mastin)

is a Greek restaurant with small menu, but good food. They have entertainment on the weekend.

Chung%26#39;s Rainbow Restaurant (10326 Metcalf Avenue) is a tiny, storefront Korean Restaurant. Nothing fancy, but they have great Korean food.

Amor de Brazil (11920 Metcalf Avenue) A Brazilian Steakhouse with aspectacular salad bar and 11-15 meats served at your table, all you can eat. Expensive for the neighboorhood at $21-40 depending on when you dine.

Andre’s Confiserie Suisse and Rivaz Tearoom (4929 West 119th Street) The tearoom serves lunch Monday - Saturday. Wonderful chocolates.

Stonewall Inn (10240 Pflumm Road, Lenexa) Simple, inexpensive food in a nice relaxed setting. Dinning inside or out.

Sorry, I don%26#39;t do breakfast...

Breakfast:

# First Watch, about one block east (walking distance if you%26#39;re nimble ... OP isn%26#39;t that good at sidewalks). Everything here is good.

# Le Peep, about a mile east (College %26amp; Metcalf), has nice benedicts. The other dishes look good, too, but I always have a benedict.

Others:

# Garozzo%26#39;s, in the strip with First Watch, walkable from D%26#39;Tree if you don%26#39;t hit the wine list too hard. Okay Italian (better than a lot of the chain stuff).

# Bristol Seafood Grill, a few miles east on 119th, has always been good for fresh-flown fish.

# Tatsu%26#39;s, a few miles northeast at 90th %26amp; Roe, for upscale French (maybe a tad stuffy, but good).

# Jasper%26#39;s, about 5 miles east at 103rd %26amp; State Line is a little farther but a lot better Italian.

# Guadalajara Cafe, near Jasper%26#39;s at 103rd %26amp; State Line, has a whole different kind of authentic Mexican food ... not greasy beans, but wonderful flavors.

Thank you both! Much appreciated.

First Watch is our family favorite so you can%26#39;t go wrong there. If we go out for breakfast, that%26#39;s where you%26#39;ll find us. Garozzo%26#39;s is the best Italian in KC according to many that I know including myself. Both are located just east of the Doubletree so if it%26#39;s nice out you could just walk. Check out the Chicken Spendini and loaded artichoke at Garozzo%26#39;s-yum!
